Brief Overview

In the novella «An Honest Thief», Fyodor Dostoevsky tells the story of a poor and lonely man named Emelyan Ilyich, who lives in St. Petersburg. He finds shelter with a tailor named Astakhov, who rents him a corner in his apartment. Despite his poverty, Emelyan is known for his honesty and kindness.
