Cousin Pons

Brief Overview

The novel "Cousin Pons" by Honoré de Balzac tells the story of an old and impoverished musician, Sylvain Pons, living in mid-19th century Paris. Pons is a kind-hearted and modest man who has spent his life collecting art pieces, unaware of their true value. He lives with his friend, the tailor Schmucke, and both lead a secluded life.
