Main Characters and Their Development

• Natty Bumppo (The Pathfinder) - the main character, also known as the Pathfinder, he is an experienced hunter and tracker with deep knowledge of nature and survival skills. In the book, he is portrayed as a noble and honest man, ready to help his friends and defend justice.
• Mabel Dunham - a young and attractive woman, the daughter of Sergeant Dunham. She travels to the fort to meet her father and encounters various dangers along the way. Mabel shows courage and determination, and develops as a character, realizing the importance of love and friendship.
• Sergeant Thomas Dunham - Mabel's father, serving in the British army. He cares for his daughter and strives to ensure her safety. In the book, he is depicted as a devoted and responsible man who puts duty and family above all else.
• Jasper Western - a young and brave sailor who falls in love with Mabel. He proves to be a reliable and loyal friend, willing to risk his life to save others. His relationship with Mabel develops throughout the book.
• Captain Charles Cap - Mabel's uncle, a sailor and ship captain. He has a stern character and strict principles, but deep down cares for his niece and is ready to protect her from any threats.
• Chingachgook - a friend and ally of the Pathfinder, a member of the Mohican tribe. He is a wise and experienced warrior who assists the main characters in their adventures. Chingachgook demonstrates deep loyalty to his friends and his people.
