Summary

«Caligula» is a play by Albert Camus that tells the story of the Roman Emperor Caligula, who, shaken by the death of his sister and lover Drusilla, concludes that life is meaningless and decides to use his absolute power to implement his philosophical ideas. Caligula seeks absolute freedom, breaking moral and social norms, which leads to tyranny and violence.
