The China Study
Methodology and Conclusions
In «The China Study», Colin Campbell describes a large-scale epidemiological study conducted in collaboration with Chinese scientists. The study's methodology included collecting data on the diet, lifestyle, and health status of over 6,500 people from 65 different rural counties in China. The study covered a wide range of factors, including the consumption of various foods, levels of physical activity, and the presence of chronic diseases. The main conclusions of the study are that a diet rich in whole plant-based foods and low in animal products is associated with lower levels of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and cancer. Campbell argues that switching to a plant-based diet can significantly improve health and reduce the risk of many diseases.
