Main Characters and Their Development

• Lylie Rosehacker - the main character, who survived the plane crash as an infant. She becomes the subject of a dispute between two families, each convinced she is their lost daughter. Lylie grows up not knowing her true identity, and her life is filled with mysteries and intrigue.
• Créspelle Grand-Duc - a private detective hired by one of the families to find out who Lylie's real parents are. He spends years searching for the truth, facing numerous obstacles and dangers.
• Mother and Father Vitral - the family claiming Lylie as their daughter Emilie. They raise her as their own but live in constant fear that the truth might be revealed.
• Mother and Father de Carville - the second family claiming Lylie as their daughter Lyse-Rose. They desperately try to prove their kinship with the girl, stopping at nothing.
• Marc Vitral - Lylie's brother, who grows up with her and supports her in difficult times. He plays a crucial role in her life and helps her in her quest to uncover the truth about her origins.
