Main Characters and Their Development

• Robert Langdon: A Harvard professor of religious symbology who becomes involved in the investigation of a murder at the Louvre. Throughout the book, he uncovers numerous secrets and symbols related to Christianity and secret societies. His character evolves from a skeptical scholar to someone open to accepting incredible truths.
• Sophie Neveu: A cryptologist with the French police and granddaughter of the murdered Louvre curator Jacques Saunière. She assists Langdon in the investigation and gradually uncovers her family's secrets. Her development involves accepting her heritage and understanding the true nature of her family.
• Sir Leigh Teabing: A British historian and Grail expert who initially aids Langdon and Sophie but later emerges as the main antagonist, determined to reveal the Grail's secret at any cost. His development shows a transition from ally to adversary.
