Main Characters and Their Development

• Douglas - the son of the Rocket Man, who experiences complex feelings towards his father. He loves and admires him but also feels bitterness due to his constant absence. Douglas gradually realizes that his father can never fully belong to the family, as he is drawn to the stars.
• The Rocket Man - Douglas's father, who works as a cosmonaut. He is torn between his love for his family and his passion for space. His constant departures and returns create tension within the family. Ultimately, his choice in favor of space leads to tragic consequences.
• Douglas's Mother - the Rocket Man's wife, who suffers from her husband's constant absence. She tries to maintain the family and care for her son, but her heart is broken because her husband always chooses space. She lives in constant fear of losing him forever.
