Brief Overview

In Ray Bradbury's short story «A Sound of Thunder», the future is depicted as a time when time travel has become possible. The main character, Eckels, embarks on a safari to the past to hunt dinosaurs. He is warned not to alter anything in the past, as it could affect the future. However, in a panic, he accidentally steps on a butterfly, leading to catastrophic changes in the present.
