Methodology and Conclusions

In «Nicomachean Ethics», Aristotle employs a methodology based on empirical observation and logical analysis. He investigates the nature of virtue and happiness by analyzing human actions and aspirations. Aristotle views ethics as a practical science aimed at achieving the highest good, which he defines as eudaimonia or happiness. He asserts that virtue is a mean between two extremes and that moral behavior requires practical reason and wisdom. Aristotle concludes that happiness is achieved through a virtuous life, which requires balance, self-control, and rational choice. He also emphasizes the importance of friendship and social life in achieving complete happiness.
