Summary

The novel «Zorro» by Isabel Allende tells the origin story of the legendary hero Zorro. The action begins in late 18th century California, when it was still a Spanish colony. The main character, Diego de la Vega, the son of a Spanish officer and an Indigenous woman, shows extraordinary abilities and a strong sense of justice from a young age. In his youth, he travels to Spain, where he learns fencing and other skills that later aid him in his fight against injustice.
