Main Characters and Their Development

• Taran - the main character, who starts as an assistant pig-keeper but shows leadership qualities and becomes more mature and responsible throughout the adventures. His drive for heroism and desire to protect his friends and homeland are the driving forces of his development.
• Eilonwy - a princess with magical abilities who accompanies Taran on his journeys. She is intelligent, determined, and independent, which helps her significantly contribute to the success of their mission. Eilonwy also learns to trust others and work as part of a team.
• Fflewddur Fflam - a bard who often exaggerates his achievements but is a loyal and brave friend. His musical talents and sense of humor help keep the team's spirits up during tough times.
• Gurgi - a creature resembling a monkey, initially appearing cowardly and selfish, but gradually shows loyalty and a willingness to sacrifice for his friends. His development demonstrates his capacity for great deeds.
• Prince Ellidyr - an antagonist who seeks to possess the Black Cauldron for his own glory. His pride and ambitions ultimately lead to his downfall, serving as a lesson about the consequences of greed and vanity.
