The Scarlet Flower

Main Characters and Their Development

• The Merchant - the father of three daughters, a kind and caring man. He travels to distant lands for goods and promises to bring gifts for his daughters. His love for them and desire to fulfill their requests lead him to encounter the Beast.
• The Youngest Daughter - the merchant's youngest and most beloved daughter, kind and modest. She asks her father to bring her a scarlet flower. Her selflessness and willingness to sacrifice herself for her father lead her to agree to live with the Beast.
• The Beast - a cursed prince who lives in a castle and guards the scarlet flower. Outwardly terrifying, but inwardly kind and noble. His love and kindness towards the youngest daughter help him break the curse and regain his human form.
