Summary

The tragedy «Prometheus Bound» by Aeschylus tells the story of the mythical Titan Prometheus, who defied Zeus by giving fire to humanity and teaching them various arts and sciences. In the play, Prometheus, bound to the rock, engages in dialogue with various characters, including the Oceanids, Oceanus, Io, and Hermes.
